The nicest thing someone's ever done for me
In amongst all the tales of bitterness and poo, we occasionally get fluffy stories that bring a small tear to our internet-jaded eyes.
In celebration of this, what is the nicest thing someone's done for you? Whether you thoroughly deserved it or it came out of the blue, tell us of heartwarming, selfless acts by others.
Failing that, what nice things have you done for other people, whether they liked it or not?

I also got hit by a car riding my bike.
I was then able to discover the real meaning of quintessential British helpfulness.
The driver pulled over, a crowd appeared, etc. I had broken several ribs and destroyed my knee. I landed on the pavement directly in front of a funeral parlour.
The kindly old lady from the funeral home came out, got down on her knee, and asked me 'can I get you a cuppa tea whilst we wait for the ambulance?'
Ah, tea. It fixes everything.
Thanks funeral lady!
