The nicest thing someone's ever done for me
In amongst all the tales of bitterness and poo, we occasionally get fluffy stories that bring a small tear to our internet-jaded eyes.
In celebration of this, what is the nicest thing someone's done for you? Whether you thoroughly deserved it or it came out of the blue, tell us of heartwarming, selfless acts by others.
Failing that, what nice things have you done for other people, whether they liked it or not?

Thank you.
It's actually rather cathartic to write about this. It was a time that I really don't like to remember, but at the same time it's part of my history. And I do owe quite a debt to these women in particular. There have been others, but these four were especially kind.

I can imagine......
Brave of you to deal with it so frankly and say all this too. Must have taken courage and such. I guess the only way you can deal with such a monumentus thing is to face it and not let it beat you and from the sounds of it you're doing pretty well in that regard.
