In amongst all the tales of bitterness and poo, we occasionally get fluffy stories that bring a small tear to our internet-jaded eyes.
In celebration of this, what is the nicest thing someone's done for you? Whether you thoroughly deserved it or it came out of the blue, tell us of heartwarming, selfless acts by others.
Failing that, what nice things have you done for other people, whether they liked it or not?

if only the people who live near/next to my gran were as nice.
She is going the same way as you described yours, she's 85 next month, had a stroke, ahip replacement after a bad fall - and not one of the neighbours seem to notice/care, despite having lived their for years. All the people nearby her have done is kill two different cats in cruel and violent ways. Luckily, all her children (except my father) live nearby, my uncle is only 2 minutes away.
