This is a question The nicest thing someone's ever done for me

In amongst all the tales of bitterness and poo, we occasionally get fluffy stories that bring a small tear to our internet-jaded eyes.

In celebration of this, what is the nicest thing someone's done for you? Whether you thoroughly deserved it or it came out of the blue, tell us of heartwarming, selfless acts by others.

Failing that, what nice things have you done for other people, whether they liked it or not?

This gets a click from me too, I feel your pain. I moved from the UK to Canada last year, and desperately miss real chocolate. I've always maintained Hershey's tastes like ass, but my boyfriend doesn't get my disdain for it. Similar to your story, my sister sent me a jiffy bag full of packs of Cadbury's Buttons and various other chocolately goodness for my birthday, as well as a pack of Tetley Teabags. I totally see what you mean on this, it's the sending of the little things that make all the difference.
