This is a question I'm glad nobody saw me

Have you ever done something, realised how stupid or embarrassing it was and then looked about to see if anyone watching? Did you get away with it?

hmmm
I find it a little hard to believe that anyone making this claim would be able to forget that Fred's weather map was very famously in the Albert docks in Liverpool.

I also am having difficulty with the point that anyone making this up would fail to do a quick google to make his claim a little bit more believable

Apprentiship days
I moved round the UK and Europe a hell of a lot. I think I was only there for about three weeks, hence the staying in a youth hostel bit.
If I was making it up choosing Fred's weather map was a bit bloody random.

It's still worth a google.
I am not sure whether I believe you, for the same reasons you are now defending against.

Hehehe
Yeah. Well it'd probably be more believeable if you knew me. I've done many things that most people would believe unless they knew me.
