as a mild teenage anarchistI wore all sorts of t-shirts with "witty" slogans. But it was only the "FUCK CEN***SHIP" one which caused the irony police* to ask me to cover it up in Euston station once.
*actual police with either no sense or an extremely acute sense of irony.

The word FUCK is offensiveIt is potentially capable of causing distress or harassment to someone who saw it on your T-Shirt.
I daresay the police were just stopping you from committing a minor public order offence.

Indeed. I once had a t-shirt saying"SHUT UP AND FUCK OFF." and not only repeatedly got asked to cover it, but frequently got into social hot water with meatheads looking for a fight (unsurprisingly, I might add - I might be a dick but I'm not a dick).
