What have you done that, in retrospect, you'd really rather nobody had seen, mostly as things just get worse the more you try to explain it?

Not quite
That would be Zwiebelburgerstraße, Oranien doesn't mean anything, but Oranienburg is the name of a town just outside of Berlin. Also known as Oranienburg-Sachsenhausen. Lovely.

I only remember a few phrases
"schnell schnell kartopflenkopf"
"mein vogel ist getot"
"ich speile tennis"
so i think "Onion Burger Street" was pretty close :-)
