In my pottery class
last night, the teacher kept on and on about how important rimming is, and that the rim is the best part, as that's the part that touches the lips.

And I was the one that got the odd looks as I was giggling inanely by the end of her little lecture. Either rimming doesn't have the same meaning in the USA as it does in the UK, or I'm in a class full of naive and god fearing lesbians. Or both.

Tell me I'm normal for finding that funny...

Yes, it does have the same meaning but you know how those potters are.....

(Though my mother has been a potter for 30+ years and she still giggles over 'rimming'. But she is just weird.)
