I've just been reminded about something by a qotw answer
a little while ago I was at home during the day and saw we were running out of bog roll.
bright was the sun and high my spirits as I sauntered down to the local shop.
To my great chagrin I saw that they only had one pack of bog roll left, and it contained 18 rolls.
Shrugging, I picked up the pack and descended on the till where the slack-jawed yokel behind the counter looked at the packet and said:
"are you sure you don't want some Imodium instead?"

Just why?
I always buy the 12-pack double roll. That way I only have to buy it once every 2 weeks and it costs less per sheet than a 4-pack.
Most things really are quite a bit cheaper when you buy in bulk.

I know
I usually buy in bulk too, but the story was to highlight the amusing answer of someone offering a diarrohea cure instead of loads of toilet roll.

Excellent.
Reminds me of asking the chemist for advice on my son's sudden diarrhoea.
'What have you tried already?'
'Well, I've told him a lot of jokes.'

@ Vipros
That's why I asked "why?". What an odd response for simply buying bulk.
@ JQ: I'm trying the joke thing on my sick kids at the moment. Unfortunately, it just makes them cough more. Maybe I should give them more medicine instead.

I think the guy behind the counter intended it as a joke
unfortunately it wasn't all that funny when written down....
