my friend's daddid not do emotion. he dropped her off at university with a gruff:
"keep yer hand on yer ha'penny".
wise words. shame she didn't listen to any of them!

No WayI thought my nan was the only person to say this.
Same story, before I went off to uni, in her broad cornish accent, 'keep yer hand on yer Ha'penny'
It's legendary amongst my friends.
