Advice from Old PeopleSometimes, just sometimes, old people say something worth listening to. Ok, so it's like picking the needle out of a whole haystack of mis-remembered war stories, but those gems should be celebrated.

My great-grandad once said to me...Whilst hospitalised and convinced he was on his way out, a very sad, tired-looking great grandfather looked at me and said, with deep sincerity...
"You don't ever want to get this old."
Somewhat ironically, he went on to live for another 10 miserable years, in terrible health and decreasing sanity. He almost managed a century.
