A bit cracked?My grandfather used to say: "always leave the house by the door ye came in or the hens will stop laying."
"Granda, we don't have hens," we'd say.
"Exactly..." he'd say knowingly.
He still follows that rule no matter where he goes. It's thanks to my Granda that this country still has eggs today.

That's all very wellBut my hens have stopped laying and my house currently only has one door. Perhaps they regard this as cheating?
