What type of waiting?Now, work, events - perhaps. After all many things need groundwork.
Relationships on the other hand.. Does the phrase mean 'waiting till you find someone that ticks most of your boxes' -or- 'waiting till Mrs Miggins from no53 is available?'
The former is sensible - the latter is never going to happen - go and find someone else..
