This is a question Advice from Old People

Sometimes, just sometimes, old people say something worth listening to. Ok, so it's like picking the needle out of a whole haystack of mis-remembered war stories, but those gems should be celebrated.

Tell us something worthwhile an old-type person has told you.

Note, we're leaving the definition of old up to you, you smooth-skinned youngsters.

I've been smoking. Mmmmm, tasty nicotines :)
Gayer - it sucks, but it's the way things are. I'm not much different online than I am in person (I hope), but I've been working where I am now for almost three years and I'm still not entirely myself at work - and things that are fine now would not have been appreciated when I first started. You've got to demonstrate that you can do the job first, and be yourself second, or unless you're very lucky binman is all you'll manage.

Moving swiftly on, I'm not as drunk as I suspect you are Ancrenne, but I feel some frivolity before bed is in order - what adventures have you had this evening?
