Advice from Old People
Sometimes, just sometimes, old people say something worth listening to. Ok, so it's like picking the needle out of a whole haystack of mis-remembered war stories, but those gems should be celebrated.
Tell us something worthwhile an old-type person has told you.
Note, we're leaving the definition of old up to you, you smooth-skinned youngsters.

For every "You don’t marry the one you can live with; you marry the one you can’t live without" there's a "If you can't be with the one you love; love the one you're with". For every "love conquers all" there's a "love is not enough". For every "the one you want is worth waiting for" there's a "life's too short to wait"
But then, what would I know, cynical freak that I am, with one ruined engagement, one open relationship, two long distance relationships, five long term relationships and several interesting fuck buddies under my belt? Please excuse me if I am firmly on the side of pragmatism.
