Sometimes, just sometimes, old people say something worth listening to. Ok, so it's like picking the needle out of a whole haystack of mis-remembered war stories, but those gems should be celebrated.

To convert length into time
we just need to measure how long it takes to cover the length. Now what's the best way of traversing a 31.5 cm string and how long will it take.
