I was on Playdays, the Playground Stopat the tender age of about 7. Got to make sock puppets and blow paint through a straw and dance about like a tiny loon. My dreams were shattered when I discovered the singing marionette wasn't performed live, it was just a woman sitting on a chair, singing. I got to hang out with Dave Benson Phillips and Chester and eat in the BBC canteen, though. Not bad at all.
