Ahh, the OFSTED inspection effectEven more powerful than the Lynx effect on certain teachers. My GCSE chemistry teacher was a cunt of the highest order yet on inspection day he mysteriously became the most constructive, compassionate and downright caring individual the school had ever seen. We were not about to let him get away with this, so about four of us took it in turns to ask "Sir, why are you being so nice today?".
I like to think that karma tapped him on the shoulder later on, though, as a) he lost one finger to the chain of his motorbike; and b) he did indeed subsequently get sacked for general uselessness.
