Have you ever - voluntarily or otherwise - appeared in front of an audience? How badly did it go?

when there's well over a hundred of them in the room, you really struggle to remember who's supposed to be there, let alone any of their names...
It still amazes me just how petrified they seem to come down to the front and do something in front of their friends... They seem full of confidence outside the lecture theatre. Where does it go? When you do get someone down, it usually goes really well.

There's no way I can ever remember who's supposed to be in what lecture. To be fair, most of them don't know where they're supposed to be either.
