This is a question Phobias

What gives you the heebie-jeebies?

It's a bit strong to call this a phobia, but for me it's the thought of biting into a dry flannel. I've no idea why I'd ever want to or even get the opportunity to do so, seeing as I don't own one, but it makes my teeth hurt to think about it. *ewww*

Tell us what innocent things make you go pale, wobbly and send shivers down your spine.

Bleagh
Sick. As in vomit.
I hate being sick (when you reach that bit where it feels like it will never end), and have managed not to throw up in about four or five years. Quite a feat.
I will go to any lengths to avoid being sick. Usually just sitting up straight swallowing lots and drinking water.

I also hate othr people being sick as it makes me feel extremely ill. I will even run out of a party if someone merely says "Pass me the bucket!"

Also, my brother makes this noise like eegleeegleeegleeegl that makes me scream and run away in absolute terror. Dunno why. Just does.

Oh yes.
I'd forgotten about that one. Fortunately I've been rather too drunk the last few times I've been sick so I don't remember it. But other people up-chucking? Damn that's enough to get me sympathy gypping/gipping

Snap.
Parenthood and various "hilarious" booze-related incidents have seen me cleaning up more steaming puddles than I care to remember. I can do poo (human and animal), wee (likewise), blood, bodyparts (mostly animal as I believe Traffic Wardens and poor people don't count) etc without a quiver. I can clean up my own vomit no problem, although I wouldn't recommend it as a hobby.

I just can't do other people's puke.

And my dear lady Wiff makes a sort of sinusy 'gnoc' noise in her sleep that simultaneously makes me want to rip her jugular out with my teeth and puke.

Emetophobia
I haven't thrown up in YEARS because I'm a big scared baby.

Neither has Charlie Brooker - www.guardian.co.uk/commentisfree/2008/jan/14/comment.charliebrooker

But it feels so good
When you're feeling rough and the ole stomach is rumbling, a good 10-15 session praising the porcelain gods leaves you feeling much much better, not ready to commit to world domination better, but hiding with a duvet wrapped around you is now mearly an excuse better.

It's a bit like the feeling of taking a massive dump when you just really need to go.

My dog boked at 1am this morning
and cleaning it almost made me boke too. She gave a repeat performance at 3am. Not talking about some little dog here - she weighs what I did aged 20.
