This is a question Phobias

What gives you the heebie-jeebies?

It's a bit strong to call this a phobia, but for me it's the thought of biting into a dry flannel. I've no idea why I'd ever want to or even get the opportunity to do so, seeing as I don't own one, but it makes my teeth hurt to think about it. *ewww*

Tell us what innocent things make you go pale, wobbly and send shivers down your spine.

The song
"Bright Eyes" sung by Art Garfunkel.

I'm not being facetious here. As a child I was terrified by that film, utterly terrified. But the song... the song makes me want to cry with sadness and scream with terror at the same time.

Ah, Watership Down.
You've read the book?
You've seen the film?
Now eat the pie!

Is there anything you're not afraid of?
This QOTW seems to be a good insight into the mind of CHCB.

...chewing gum, zombies, kittens, nuclear war, bright eyes, what else scares you?

*listens intently*

You're not the only one...
One of my best friends can be reduced to tears by us singing that at him.

Which we do.

A lot.

*fires up chainsaw*
*goes running after CHCB*

*gets distracted by a goat*

....OoOh.

Songs that are both wonderful and scarily depressing
The last verse of Puff the Magic Dragon gets me in tears just thinking about it. I'm welling up now, as I write this.

Puff
As a child that song made me wonder why anyone would want to wax their ceilings.

^ Memory from Cats as well
Being a madly kitteh-loving child, the idea of one getting old and dying made me cry :(

Forever Autumn
From War of the Worlds.

War Of The Fucking Worlds!
I was just checking to see if anyone had posted about it yet PJM. What parent thinks watching their four year old hiding behind the couch screaming at the noise of the cylinder opening is entertainment? Martians are all cunts!

Just the intro
to "Eve of the War" used to scare the shit out of me as a child. Now I think it's brilliant.

Ah yes... WOTW
We used to listen to it in class during my last year of primary school and I was fine...

...right up until the very end sequence involving the modern day astronauts landing on Mars.

Still gives me the heebie jeebies now.
