This is a question Phobias

What gives you the heebie-jeebies?

It's a bit strong to call this a phobia, but for me it's the thought of biting into a dry flannel. I've no idea why I'd ever want to or even get the opportunity to do so, seeing as I don't own one, but it makes my teeth hurt to think about it. *ewww*

Tell us what innocent things make you go pale, wobbly and send shivers down your spine.

Been put under a couple of times
The first time:
I was in for a discogram (they put needles into your back to do summat *shrugs*

Anyhoo, I'm wearing a rather fetching hospital gown showing my arse to the world and I'm wheeled into the theatre where I see some kind of stool on the table - I'm supposed to lie face down on this with my bare arse and back showing to the world, and - wait for it - relax while 2 blokes do whatever they plan to do behind me :/

Of course, I was a little bit tense being a heterosexual male so ended up being put out. On the bright side, I had no bum soreness when I came round - result!

Second time:
Got my ankle broken in a 'scuffle' New Year's Eve 2006 and had to have a plate put in. This time was fine (apart from being starved for 48 hours prior because the theatre was busy and they forgot to feed me - feckers). That was weird, I remember being in pre-op, being injected and as the doors opened was out like a light. Then I came to as the doors behind me closed and I was in the post-op room being given morphine (yay!) - felt like these magical doors had sliced my ankle, thrown in some metalwork in 5 seconds...

Here's a pic:

Now I'm due in next Thursday to have it all taken out...
