Once, I tried to pet this dog.
It bit me.
I tried to pet it again.
It bit me again.
I tried to pet it AGAIN.
It bit me AGAIN.
Do you think I should try to pet it again?
I'm inclined to say no. A more accurate answer, though, is probably more along the lines of "not unless I want to put in a hell of a lot of work, and probably get bitten many times in the process. Odds are the dog will never become a nicely rehabilitated poochie, but there's a very slight possibility that could happen".
Okay abandoning the metaphor...my dog is 12. He bit me last month...AGAIN.
