My adviceSever all your ties with this one mate, will do wonders for you in the long run.
Was in a similar situation myself, used to date a young lady, we broke up (not amicable in the slightest either) and went our separate ways for 4 years.
She got back in contact with me a year ago, towing three kids (different fathers) with her and in a bad situation. I felt sorry for her (I still do), but I knew that the best thing was to just bail for my own sanity.
She has managed to sort herself out somewhat, and I'm glad to hear it, but I was not going to fall into that pit.
