Do talk to your local bike copperThey know loads and if you find a friendly one, they can talk bikes with passion too.
The guy I met was investigating a nasty accident that had killed a biker and he was happy to chat over a cuppa. He gave me some things to think about and I still use some of the tips he gave me.
Mind you, I met a right miserable cunt in Clevedon, seemed he did not like bikers very much, although he may have just had a bad shift.
