PensionWhen the new age discrimination laws came in recently, my firm made pay the higher rate of 7.5% contribution to the pension fund instead of the lower rate employees under 35 previously paid. The firm cited age discrimination rules for this blatant excuse for milking the younger staff to top up the fund that the older staff had historically been underpaying into.
Who's being discriminated against there? The younger staff for er, being young! Not so much PC gone mad as a load of bullshit to mask a shortfall.
