This is a question Political Correctness Gone Mad

Freddy Woo writes: "I once worked on an animation to help highlight the issues homeless people face in winter. The client was happy with the work, then a note came back that the ethnic mix of the characters were wrong. These were cartoon characters. They weren't meant to be ethnically anything, but we were forced to make one of them brown, at the cost of about 10k to the charity. This is how your donations are spent. Wisely as you can see."

How has PC affected you? (Please add your own tales - not five-year-old news stories cut-and-pasted from other websites)

Oh there's more...
Tourettes used to work as a learning support assistant for kids with autism. Some of them had very severe special needs (hell some of them had parents who had special needs, so not exactly a good fucking start in life). One kid came in one day, barely able to walk. Tourettes asks whats wrong, kid replies her feet hurt. Tourettes asks if she can have a look. Kid takes off shoes and socks, to reveal hugely, horribly long toe nails that are curling and digging into her toes, causing incredible pain. Now, you would think that the obvious thing to do would be to cut the nails, and alleviate the poor kid's suffering (she lived with her Gran apparently, who couldn't see very well).

Nope. Had Tourettes done the obvious, she would very likely have been hauled up on a disciplinary for 'assaulting' a child. Same went for letting the kids out in the sunshine - they weren't allowed to apply sun tan oil to them for the same reason - it's classed as assault. So the poor little bastards would just have to fry instead - God help the ginger ones.
