This is a question Political Correctness Gone Mad

Freddy Woo writes: "I once worked on an animation to help highlight the issues homeless people face in winter. The client was happy with the work, then a note came back that the ethnic mix of the characters were wrong. These were cartoon characters. They weren't meant to be ethnically anything, but we were forced to make one of them brown, at the cost of about 10k to the charity. This is how your donations are spent. Wisely as you can see."

How has PC affected you? (Please add your own tales - not five-year-old news stories cut-and-pasted from other websites)

I...
Agree with the massive majority of this.

I am completely against the idea of racism, it's so fucking ridiculous, it's quite funny (in theory). Think of it this way, racism at it's roots is basically "I have a different coloured skin to you, so I'm better". How fucking retarded can you get?

And as for the hitting kids, i think people misunderstand when you say about "breaking their spirit". To everyone else, he doesn't mean he wants to destroy them mentally, he sheerly means that children need discipline. It's a fact of life. I don't agree with violence against children, smacking the shit out of them, that's not right. But if i was out of line when i was younger, i was given a smack, and i wouldn't talk back to my dad afterwards, not through fear, through respect. Not like kids nowadays who will call childline because their parents won't let them go and hang round a rough council estate at 10pm. Don't blame the parents, i wasn't allowed to do that, and my kids won't allowed to be either.

Blue badge holders piss me off too, we used to have a blue badge in my Mum's last few months, we used it to get into the disabled spots. We always used to get shitloads of dirty looks because my mum wasn't (and i quote) "not that disabled". The woman couldn't walk 10 metres without a rest afterwards! For fuck sake.

But the amount of times non-blue badge holders would take up the disabled room, and you'd see a chavvy 21 year old who was using his mum's car sat in a spot, because he had his Mum's badge in there. It's fucking ridiculous.

Raaagh! Anger! I think something has been uncovered here. GAZ me if you think i should repost this in the topic, with extra ranting.
