This is a question Political Correctness Gone Mad

Freddy Woo writes: "I once worked on an animation to help highlight the issues homeless people face in winter. The client was happy with the work, then a note came back that the ethnic mix of the characters were wrong. These were cartoon characters. They weren't meant to be ethnically anything, but we were forced to make one of them brown, at the cost of about 10k to the charity. This is how your donations are spent. Wisely as you can see."

How has PC affected you? (Please add your own tales - not five-year-old news stories cut-and-pasted from other websites)

the swaztika
from what i know until the Nazis co-oped it, was considered a good luck symbol. Some buildings in NYC have them. It was also used by the Indians (errrr Native Americans - fancy that, cause all humans in the western hemisphere came via the Land bridge connecting Asia and the American continents, which doesnt make them native) as a relgious symbol i believe.

Correctamundo
Ancient Aryan/Indian symbol, pops up all over the place.

Just shows you that old Adolf had a singular lack of originality.

It's true that the swastika was used by many other groups before the Nazis,
but the Hindu (and others) swastika goes the other way around and lies on its side rather than on a point. That chap's shirt is definitely a Nazi swastika.

"but the Hindu (and others) swastika goes the other way around and lies on its side rather than on a point."
Correction: It used to be used any way around, but they started using it only that way around once the Nazis started using it, so that it'd look different to their use of it.
