A carton containing 12 packets of Plain Chocolate Digestives was later found in the residence of Emperor Hirohito, though its influence on the war in the Pacific, has never been proven. According to the master work on the subject (Whitby-Strevens: "The Jap who nicked my tucker", 1954) much is conjectured, but little is known for sure.
