And from a student point.........I recently completed an aircraft type course, where our instructor demanded that we be absolutely correct in our terminology, and quote publication references, pub.No. chapter, paragraph and note etc, by maintaining that we should be "very pacific" Great guy though.

A former law tutor of mine constantly referred to 'malice aforethought' as 'malice afterthought'which made it sound as if the murderer only really meant it afterwards.
