That's probably because there's something uniquely vile about excrement that makes it such an excellent medium for revenge. Personally, I was just looking for something with a "cleaning up other people's shit" motif.
N.B. If skilfully applied, he may not even notice the shit until he gets to some traffic-lights - and starts picking his nose!
