This is more about complete obliviousness sounding like prejudice...One morning while leaving a coffee shop with my mother, she sniffed the air and said "wow, something smells like bacon!" ...referring of course not to the three police officers standing a few feet away, but rather to the nearby restaurant that was in fact exuding bacony aromas.
She quickly realized her error and we exited the scene before we got any more dirty looks from the cops.
