I know people who believe white women who have children with West Indian men are being fooledbecause the men won't marry them.
Or rather, they won't marry them until they've had three, or sometimes five children with them. By which time the man will have started another family with a different woman.
Anyone else heard this one, or is it peculiar to my northern town?

Oh yeah, I'm aware of the 'absent black fathers' debateIt's just that particular belief, that a black man required a woman to have a certain number of his children before marrying her, that puzzled me a bit.
Surely people don't really believe that!
