Perranporth, sadly, is one of the worst affected beaches around. You can't move for lobster coloured emmets! In the winter it is an amazing place, but, like Newquay, come summer, and locals just avoid it like the plague.
Godrevy/Gwithian is where it's at. Over 3 miles of sand, perfect surf conditions, views over St Ives Bay. Because it's such a massive beach, the emmets can have the bits by the public car parks, we know where the "hidden" car parks, and walkways are, to the quieter, "secret" bits. And no, I can't tell you.
You ever seen Blue Rush? It's a bit like that......

perfect surf?in godrevy/gwithian? (or anywhere)... in the summer in the UK... i don't think so! it's all about winter and those secret / semi-secret spots
