I always think yamyams and Brummies sound really thick
I know that they're no thicker than the rest of the country, but i'd never employ a Brummie or yamyam, simply because of their accent.

Not all Brummies/yamyams are common
I dated a girl from Solihull. She was quite posh, well brought up, intelligent and pleasant.
However, she sounded thicker than fudge.
