Lay off teachers
I nearly married one. She worked at least 8am until 6pm everyday, marked stuff and planned lessons in the evenings and at weekends. And during holidays.

The real reason you should lay off teachers, though, is that they have to spend all their working life with other peoples kids AND THEY CAN'T PUNCH THEM. Kids are absolute wankers most of the time. You absolutely need a bit more holiday than everyone else to get over that.

They don't get paid extra for taking the little cunts on school trips either. You take them away on a bus, look after them when they immediately eat all the sweets their cretinous parents have given them for a bus and ferry journey, make sure they don't get arrested or killed, try and make sure they learn something, and when you get back the parents don't even say thanks.

Plus my Mum was a teacher at my school, so I met many of mine as an adult as well. I'm fully aware of how unpleasant they can be - the one I nearly married took out all her anger on me when she got home - but they're driven to it.

It's not the fact they have a difficult job
they just whine about it and, as you say, bring the stress home with them. In both our cases with an extra shot of unvented rage.
