Bloody hell
I did the same thing, but managed to only get the nasty stuff down my trousers, which I then changed at the end of the shift. Either you're really quite small, or we had different dishwashers.

Still, I sympathise. It was rank. *click*

I noticed..
At a summer school at a university on the UK south coast, they had a similar system. I've spent years on and off in the catering industry, and so could imagine the hell beyond the plastic slats on the conveyer. I know it wasn't much, but I always wrote a little "Thank you" note on my napkin after every meal. It's not much, I know, but still...
