Government and HIPS
Quickest £400 down the drain: Last Wednesday coughed up for a HIP so we could put our house up for sale. Next day HIPS were abolished. Can I get my money back? The agent says no and the Govt don't respond to my emails - bastards all.

its a bit late now
But most solicitors will do it for next to nothing, but estate agent bastards wont tell you that.

It was common knowledge that the HIP was going to be (almost) abolished.

Could be worse
I looked into doing one of those 'train as a HIP expert' courses, but luckily realised in time what a con it was. Others paid out thousands for a useless qualification.

have they
already done and provided the HIP? If they haven't, it's a service they you don't want provided and would like a refund back, can you take them to small claims court?
