cancer
my fella has just gone into remission from leukemia. He has just turned 22. Its been a long long road to go down, and its pretty heartbreaking seeing him so ill. But, its so treatable now its unlikely to be fatal.... Just a helpful tip for you guys.

- Keep everything in the house as clean as possible.
- If anyone you know even has a the slightest cough, dont let them near her, we learnt the hard way, the chemo kills her immune system dead. even colds put my fella in intensive care.
- Steroids made my man put on alot of weight. so be preared for it.
- Muscle waistage while in hospital is a big issue. When she is home encourage her to potter round the house. My man got chain mail and wore it in the house to build himself back up (but that would be silly for a lady) ya get my meaning tho.

and keep positive. you can cry on your own time. buzz me if you need any advice or support.

Thanks guys
I appreciate that. It's still a bit of a headspin as it all happened in 2 days. She's only 22, but we're looking at that as a positive as she has youth on her side.

I feel cliche saying take each day at a time, but that's what we're having to do. All I can do is be there for her and keep her positive and strong. I have an amazing group of friends to fall back on when i'm feeling upset, but it's really helpful hearing other people's experiences- especially young adults.

Thanks again.
