Completely Underwhelmed writes, "I was on a bus the other day when a man got on wearing shorts, over what looked like greeny grey leggings. Then the stench hit me. The 'leggings' were a mass of open wounds, crusted with greenish solidified pus that flaked off in bits as he moved."
What's the worst public transport experience you've ever had?

Using 3 different London Underground lines every day, I know a fair bit about travel trauma.
However, one question has always bothered me:
Why, when people choose to end their lives by jumping in front of a train, do they choose to do it during the fucking rush hour?
That's just selfish. I sympathise that they may not be happy, but couldn't they wait 'til half past seven?

If and when I choose to off myself, I'm going to fuck up as many people as I can.
This might be a clocktower, or a massive explosive device, or in front of a train at Wembley for the cup final.

Having been stuck in an underground tunnel for 2 hours at hyde park corner in 90 degree heat at rush hour due to a suicide I can relate to this. We had to break the doors down to get off the train. Scary.
I always feel dreadful for the driver, or the people on the platform too, no one needs to see that. I guess it's "my life has been miserable, and as one last fuck you, I'm going to screw up your day."
I'd hate to think I could ever be in a place where I could even contemplate that.
*shudders*

it has nearly been me.
I spent six months deliberately and carefully maintaining three points of contact with the platform wall as the train pulled in. My shrink described this as "a useful coping mechanism".

They do it at rush hour so the maximum amount of people notice, I guess...
Someone did it to my train when I was on the way to a job interview. *How* rude?!
