Old Mr. McNee, father of my pal Jason did almost exactly the same.Excepting that he used the occasion of getting his driveway re-concreted in 1984 to sink a pretty darned new £1 coin into the concrete, barely an inch within the boundary of his property.
It's still there, I had the chance to check last wednesday.
