Thisis very true. Any time I've ever taken my car to France, I always stick a saltire next to my GB sticker. I'm no Scottish nationalist, but the Auld Alliance still seems to hold.
Possibly it's because of a mutual dislike* of the English!
*I only dislike the English when they're playing football.
