This is a question Rubbish Towns

I once went to Basildon. It was closed, I got chased by a bunch of knuckle-dragged yobs until I was lost in a maze of concrete alleyways and got food poisoning off pie. Tell us about the awful places you've visited or have your home.

Thanks to SpankyHanky for the suggestion

Sudbury, Suffolk
I actually quite like it, but it is rather dull. To the extent that the local paper was forced to run with the front page headline "Dead dog found floating in river".

The story expanded on this - someone in the town had found a dead dog, floating down the river. Oh wait, did I say 'expanded'?

God bless the Free Press.
They once had a front page saying 'Sudbury Rocked By Gang Warfare During Christmas Fayre'.

A closer read of the tale revealed that two gangs of kids had made a pain of themselves by shouting at each other in the street.

I love Sudbury
A bit provincial and dull maybe but just can't be compared to the real rubbish towns listed here :-)

I'm from one of the outlying vilages.
Sudbury is the Bright Lights round here.

Yep, big shiny place of many people
My village has 163 people in it...and I live 2 miles from the centre of that.
