All that talk about your car:Its true, regular maintainance of your car makes a massive difference. Especially if you do it yourself. the biggest differences being tyre pressures and oil. I change my filter every time i change my oil instead of every second time. Makes a big difference on economy. The price of extra oil filters may not outweigh the fuel savings initially but its a difference in the long run, making a big difference on the rest of the engine.

Alotof places recommend you change oil every 5000 and filter every 10 000. Doesn't make sense to put clean oil through a dirty filter - especially when a filter costs maybe $8. Mechanics are afraid of getting dirty these days and they can just name a price for anything easy.
