This is a question School Days

"The best years of our lives," somebody lied. Tell us the funniest thing that ever happened at school.

Not particularly funny but
at the ripe age of 27 I still regularly see/hang out with/get wasted with mates that I made on the first day of the first year of secondary school.

We've been through different things since then; all been off to different universities, been travelling to different places, all sorts and yet still, we are all back in Exeter, still having a blast, it's just that now we have more of a steady stream of debt income.

Also, I get more sex these days through not being a fat, long-haired metaller who (not intentionally) looked like meatloaf.

Still being mates with, and seeing these guys, is the best thing I took from school.

Agreed.
My best man was a friend from primary school, and I was best man for a mate who I met on day 1 of High School.

I still keep in touch with them, although don't see quite as much of them as I'd like to.

there are a couple of guys who have fallen from grace
well, one moved to coventry because he had a good job there, and one (my best mate sadly) fucked off to cheltenham to live with his gf without telling anyone. I only found out for sure because his brother is in my band...

yup, mine too
Two of them are getting married this year (not to each other). I'm going.

Eh?
Your best mate moved away and didn't tell you? Maybe not your best mate then? :-O

I'm hoping he doesn't read this, kind of
but while I get on with his gf while in person I don't think she's been at all good for him. I hestiate to use the word leech...

trouble is, it took him an awfully long time to get his end away for the first time, and as such I think he's been kind of blinded by this girl.

She's pretty weird, has ME apparently. I'm not convinced that she's not just a lazy shirker.

He was living down this way, but about an hour from the rest of us, in the arse end of nowhere, and he doesn't drive, so when his gf went back to uni he was basically stranded. Then he got made redundant and has headed off to live with gf and didn't let anyone know.

I haven't spoken to him since, in person, via phone, or over msn or anything.

Makes me a bit sad, but fuck it, if he's not even going to tell his mates he's leaving....
