the point of my original reply was not just to point out that you had written carbon monoxide instead of dioxide, which you have since ninja'd, but mainly to point out that ths post doesn't really sense since at no time have you defined which person was saying which part of the conversation.

As a matter of fact trees give off carbon dioxide all the time, regardless of whether it's day or night, it's just that during the day they release more oxygen than they take in.

That yahoo answer is complete crap anyway, since the original question is meaningless gibberish. And the replies aren't a lot better.
