Money.Pure comic shops are always teetering on the brink of financial ruin.
Forbidden Planet is a long way from being pure comics shops, but they still need to jump on bandwagons in order to bring the cash in. You probably didn't even notice all the Star Wars stuff they had in during the second trilogy, eh?
