is this also the reasonthat most pedestrian crossings now wait for a gap in traffic before changing? I remember when you pressed the button because you wanted to *stop* the traffic so you could cross - these days the fucking things wait for a gap, then change when its safe to cross anyway. *I* can wait for a gap!
