This is a question Sexism

Freddie Woo tells us: Despite being a well rounded modern man I think women are best off getting married and having a few kids else they'll be absolutely miserable come middle age.

What views do you have that are probably sexist that you believe are true?

Pretentious twaddle - like it!

I'm not entirely sure what I was trying to say about sexism, except that our behaviours and inclinations can run very deep and can run along gender lines. This is not to say that they can't (and should) be challenged; it also doesn't mean that women can't be soldiers or men can't be nursery school teachers. It doesn't mean that men won't notice breasts on an intelligent woman, or that a Hollywood film will be produced without a woman in a vest or in a shower.

I think what I'm saying is: behave the way that you want to behave and reap the benefits and/or take the consequences as a result. If you want to be a sexist pig, then don't be surprised if you end up with a woman that wants you to provide for them. If you are broad-minded, gentle and understanding, don't be surprised if you find a partner that is not comfortable flashing her tits in public.

Different societies and different ages have different sensibilities - my main problem is working out how women are going to cope in a society where boys and men access hardcore pornography regularly and from an early age. I don't envy my daughter or her peers.

Happy new year everyone - especially TRL.
